FlexiNet is proud to deploy the Motorola Canopy Wireless equipment to connect your PC to the rest of the world, using fast secure networking. The reason we chose to build our own Wireless Network is because it is the only economical alternative to ADSL Broadband which uses copper wires. During our intensive testing it has proven to be far more reliable than the ADSL services available today.
Wireless can also deliver a broadband service to places where ADSL is not available because ADSL can only be supplied to premises within 5km of the exchange and where the quality of the copper wires is good enough.
So what's so good about our wireless?
FlexiNet's initial services are delivered at either 1Mbit or 2Mbit speeds (approximately 4 to 8 times faster than the standard ADSL services and up to more than 20 times faster than dial-up). The equipment we are installing today is capable of speeds of up to 20Mbit/sec.
The reason we are doing this so that, in the future, when bandwidth prices fall further, we can upgrade the network at the flick of a switch, providing you with faster, more reliable premium internet services. Additionally ADSL equipment that other ISP's have installed on the Sunshine Coast may only be capable of maximum speeds of up to 8Mbit, and may already be outdated.
